Laukko Historicum occupies part of the manor house on the Laukko estate. The house in Neoclassical style was built in the 1930s by the Finnish industrialist Rafael Haarla. Designed by Veikko Kallio, this impressive house stands where the owners of Laukko have lived ever since the 15th century.
The spirit of Laukko can be felt in the unique cultural landscape that has seen many houses and generations come and go. Legends and histories abound amid the ancient oaks and lime trees. The many monuments also serve as reminders of times and residents past.

History is equally present inside the main house. The Haarla family’s period furniture has, since the Lagerstams came to live here, been replaced by older antiques. The atmosphere of the main halls captures that of the Renaissance and Baroque in the 16th and 17th centuries.
